John practices primarily in the areas of personal injury, criminal, and wrongful dismissal litigation. He was called to the bar in Nova Scotia in 2001, and in Ontario in 2004. He has appeared at the Courts of Appeal in Nova Scotia and Ontario, and is a regular participant in proceedings at the Ontario Court of Justice, and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

As a partner at O’Flynn Weese, John has a wide variety of resources at his disposal to assist in obtaining the best possible outcomes for his clients. O’Flynn Weese’s full-service nature permits access to a wealth of legal and business knowledge, facilitating John’s ability to provide sound practical and legal advice to his clients.

John is a lifelong Quinte area resident, having grown up in Trenton and now residing with his wife Michele and their two children in Belleville. John attended Nicholson Catholic College in Belleville before completing a Bachelor’s degree at the University of Western Ontario. After graduation, he worked as a labourer at the local paper mill for five years before returning to education in the Bachelor of Commerce program at Lakehead University, and ultimately completing his LLB at Dalhousie Law School in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Community involvement has always been an integral part of John’s life and career. Additionally, he has been actively involved in local minor sports organizations including the Belleville Minor Hockey Association, the Belleville Youth Soccer Club and the Belleville Youth Swim Team.

Away from the office, John pursues a variety of interests including hockey, running, swimming, fishing, travel and photography.
